Of course to make things really simple, many D-SLRs come with an Auto mode that lets the camera figure out the shutter speeds and apertures for you. ease of use isn't the only reason to get a D-SLR. The main reason is that these cameras generally provide the largest sensor sizes, which make for better overall quality, especially under low light conditions. And in terms of control, options and creative freedom, you just can't beat the power of a D-SLR camera. When people ask me what cameras produce the best quality photos, I always tell them D -SLRs (Digital-Single Lens Reflex) do.
